The robotic arm moves the casting from the cooling water tank or air-cooled rack to the hydraulic punch press. The lower die seat of the press slides out, minimizing interference between the robotic arm and the press's large columns.
This system is suitable for trimming actions on castings, including gates, runners, and overflow wells, from both cold chamber and hot chamber die-casting machines. It is ideal for use in the production of aluminum and magnesium alloy castings.
As for zinc alloy die-casting and castings with a production cycle time of less than 20 seconds, careful discussion and evaluation are necessary to determine suitability.
